Heroic Are no Longer Quarantined at IEM Cologne
Heroic have announced that their CS:GO players have undergone additional COVID-19 tests and received negative results. For this reason, the German health authorities allowed the team to exit the quarantine, which was imposed on them due to one of the team’s members being tested positive for COVID-19 on July 6th. The players are now allowed to use their practice room.
The organization explained that the previous test was not false. It is believed that the positive test was a result of an earlier infection that happened this year. While the player in question is no longer sick or infectious to others, some tests might show a positive result – this is a well-known scenario.
The team will be doing additional tests that will determine whether the team will be able to enter the tournament arena in the coming days, where they will face other teams.
Heroic were invited directly to the group stage of IEM Cologne and were seeded into Group B. Currently the team plays its first match against Team Spirit.
